About Me

My background

I’m a Visual Effects Supervisor with over 25 years of experience bringing imagination to life on screen. My career began in television production, where I discovered the magic that happens once raw footage meets visual effects. That moment shaped everything that followed.

From Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban to King Kong or Inception, I learned my craft from some of the most respected artists in the industry. Over time, I moved from compositing to supervising global teams for major studios such as DNEG and ScanlineVFX.

Whether guiding a small crew or leading a large-scale production, I prioritize extensive advanced planning to guarantee a smooth running show. By anticipating challenges early, I can provide calm, clear direction and foster an environment where creativity thrives. I believe that extraordinary visuals come from collective excellence, not individual genius.

Now based in Munich, I combine 25 years of experience in visual effects with a photographer’s eye for authenticity. My career has evolved from senior compositing and lead roles at studios like MPC and WetaFX to serving as a DFX Supervisor at DNEG and most recently a VFX Supervisor at ScanlineVFX.

I remain deeply hands-on, using small Python scripts to automate repetitive tasks in Nuke and leveraging AI to quickly explore early concepts. By handling these technical and communication details efficiently, I am able to dedicate my focus to creative direction and the final visual quality of every frame.
